Fall is Here

Fall is officially here (although as I write this, the sun is shining brightly through the window). While I'm normally a Summer girl and want to soak up every bit of sun I can, I am exceptionally excited for Fall this year. I know I will probably wonder why I ever said this in a few months when the sun has been MIA for much too long, but for now just thinking about Fall brings a smile to my face.
I'm anxiously awaiting spending afternoons by the fire with tea and a good book, putting on scarves, boots and sweaters, cooking and baking (why is it that cold weather always makes us want to eat!), and watching the trees change (Oregon is absolutely beautiful during this season). Fall is just so cozy, isn't it?
The other day as a celebration of Fall I spent a day with my fella, friends and family drinking tea, eating yummy soup, and baking (my friend is a pastry chef and made up the perfect fall recipe, pictured below). It was the most wonderful day!

I am a bit of a tea addict
Pumpkin Swirl Brownies, with Browned Butter and Roasted Hazelnuts...My friend's a baking genius!
Black Bean Chili with butternut squash, and toppings galore. (Sorry for the poor quality my Film camera can be a bit unreliable)
I'm fully aware that I've said Fall about 50 times now, I guess you can tell I'm a bit excited. Hope you are all able to take some time and cozy up with a cup of tea and enjoy this Fall Autumn season!
